Proteomics reveals the key transcription-related factors mediating obstructive nephropathy in pediatric patients and mice

open access: yesRenal Failure
Background Obstructive nephropathy is one of the leading causes of kidney injury in infants and children. Increasing evidence has shown that transcription-related factors (TRFs), including transcription factors and cofactors, are associated with kidney ...

A Panel of Circulating Exosomal sncRNAs Associated With Lung Cancer Risk up to 10 Years in Advance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lung cancer is often diagnosed too late, and current screening overlooks many people at risk. In a long‐term study of smokers, a panel of small non‐coding RNAs carried in blood exosomes signals elevated lung cancer risk up to ten years before diagnosis, pointing toward a blood‐based tool for earlier risk detection.

A Novel tRNA Half mt‐5’‐tiRNA‐Tyr Promotes Colorectal Cancer Proliferation via Inducing HARS2 Succinylation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A mitochondria‐derived tRNA half, mt‐5’‐tiRNA‐Tyr, is upregulated in colorectal cancer tissues and plasma and promotes tumor proliferation. It binds HARS2 and promotes CPT1A‐associated HARS2 K91 succinylation, disrupts HARS2–mt‐tRNA‐His association, impairs mitochondrial translation, enhances succinate‐linked metabolic reprogramming, and shows promise ...

Reversible Exfoliation‐Aggregation Dynamics in Ionic COFs for Tunable Interfacial Catalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A unique ionic covalent organic framework (I‐4) exhibits unprecedented concentration‐dependent dynamic behavior in water, undergoing reversible transitions between aggregation and exfoliation. This enables fully controllable, bidirectional modulation of its particle size and surface micro‐environment.

tRNA‐derived fragments: tRF‐Gly‐CCC‐046, tRF‐Tyr‐GTA‐010 and tRF‐Pro‐TGG‐001 as novel diagnostic biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, 2021
Background tRNA‐derived fragments (tRFs) have been found to play a regulatory role in the occurrence and development of many tumors. The aim of this study was to identify the expression of tRFs in breast cancer and their ability to serve as diagnostic ...

Function and Therapeutic Implications of tRNA Derived Small RNAs

open access: yesFrontiers in Molecular Biosciences, 2022
tRNA derived small RNAs are mainly composed of tRNA fragments (tRFs) and tRNA halves (tiRs). Several functions have been attributed to tRFs and tiRs since their initial characterizations, spanning all aspects of regulation of the Central Dogma: from ...

Safety of Sodium‐Ion Batteries: Evaluation and Perspective from Component Materials to Cells, Modules, and Packs

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review provides a bottom‐up evaluation of sodium‐ion battery safety, linking material degradation mechanisms, cell engineering parameters, and module/pack assembly. It emphasizes that understanding intrinsic material stability and establishing coordinated engineering control across hierarchical levels are vital for preventing degradation coupling ...

Pesticide MRLs as Trade Barriers: Evidence From Vietnam's Coffee and Rice Exporters

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As tariffs have declined globally through bilateral and regional trade agreements, food safety standards have emerged as significant determinants of agricultural trade flows. This study examines the impact of maximum residue limits (MRLs) for five pesticides—Azoxystrobin, Chlorpyrifos, Chlorantraniliprole, Clothianidin, and Cyhalothrin—on ...

A Novel Class of tRNA-Derived Small Non-Coding RNAs Respond to Myocardial Hypertrophy and Contribute to Intergenerational Inheritance

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2018
tRNA-derived fragments (tRFs) are a new class of non-coding RNA that play an important role in regulating cellular RNA processing and protein translation. However, there is currently no study reporting the influence of tRFs on myocardial hypertrophy.
