TRIM16 acts as an E3 ubiquitin ligase and can heterodimerize with other TRIM family members.
The TRIM family of proteins is distinguished by its tripartite motif (TRIM). Typically, TRIM proteins contain a RING finger domain, one or two B-box domains, a coiled-coil domain and the more variable C-terminal domains.

Trim32 regulates the transition from proliferation to differentiation in C2C12 cells after myogenic induction. We found that, at the onset of differentiation, Trim32 destabilizes c‐Myc mRNA, promotes cell cycle exit, and enables normal myotube formation.

Abstract Infection is a known cause of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), and matrix metalloproteases‐2 (MMP‐2) secreted by vascular smooth muscle cells (SMCs) plays a key role in the structural disruption of the middle layer of the arteries during AAA progression.

ABSTRACT Plant‐fungus‐virus tripartite interactions represent complex ecological systems in which mutualistic endophytes can influence host physiology, yet the molecular basis of endophyte‐mediated defence remains poorly understood. Here, we demonstrate that the endophytic fungus Penicillium pinophilum EU0013 suppresses the yellow strain of cucumber ...

The Role of Tripartite Motif Family Proteins in TGF-β Signaling Pathway and Cancer
TGF-β signaling plays a tumor suppressive role in normal and premalignant cells but promotes tumor progression during the late stages of tumor development. The TGF-β signaling pathway is tightly regulated at various levels, including transcriptional and post-translational mechanisms.

Putting the brakes on muscle growth: Myostatin as regulator of disuse atrophy
Abstract Skeletal muscle is a highly plastic tissue that rapidly adapts to changes in mechanical loading and metabolic activity. Periods of inactivity, including bed rest, limb immobilization or microgravity, induce a pronounced loss of muscle mass and function.

Insights into the protein domains of C-VI TRIM subfamily in viral infection
Tripartite motif (TRIM) proteins, defined by their conserved RBCC domain architecture, play key roles in various cellular processes and virus-host interactions.

Abstract figure legend Schematic outlining the impact of NSAID ingestion on resistance exercise training‐induced changes in muscle morphology, function and gene networks relative to placebo ingestion in trained males. Abstract Non‐steroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are widely overused in sports.

Autophagy in MASLD: A Metabolic and Precision Medicine Perspective
ABSTRACT Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is the most common chronic liver condition worldwide and a major contributor to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). While metabolic triggers such as obesity and insulin resistance are key drivers of MASLD, growing evidence has identified defects in intracellular quality
