Network analysis of circular permutations in multidomain proteins reveals functional linkages for uncharacterized proteins. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Various studies have implicated different multidomain proteins in cancer. However, there has been little or no detailed study on the role of circular multidomain proteins in the general problem of cancer or on specific cancer types.

Adenosine Triphosphatase Activity of the Vascular System.

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1952
SummaryThe AT Pase activity of the vascular system of the dog has been studied, lit has been shown that the enzyme content of -the different arteries enjoys wide variation. The venous system does not contain the enzyme. ATPase activity of the aorta of the rat was not influenced by age or captivity.

Nuclear Receptor ERRγ Protects Against Cardiac Ischemic Injury by Suppressing GBP5‐Mediated Myocardial Inflammation

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 39, Issue 14, 31 July 2025.
Cardiomyocyte‐specific overexpression of ERRγ after myocardial infarction improves cardiac function by suppressing the expression of its pro‐inflammatory downstream target GBP5, thereby inhibiting inflammasome assembly, alleviating myocardial inflammation, and pyroptosis.

Histology and histochemistry of the venom apparatus of the black scorpion Androctonus crassicauda (Olivier, 1807) (Scorpiones: Buthidae)

open access: yesJournal of Venomous Animals and Toxins including Tropical Diseases, 2008
The venom apparatus of the black scorpion Androctonus crassicauda has been characterized histologically and histochemically in the present study. The results showed that this apparatus consists of paired venom glands, each of which initially presents its

Coordinated transcriptional regulation between a reactive oxygen species-responsive gene network and the circadian clock in Arabidopsis thaliana : a thesis presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Plant Biology at Massey University, Plant Biology, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Most organisms have evolved endogenous biological clocks as internal timekeepers to fine-tune physiological processes to the external environment. Energetic cycles such as photosynthesis and glycolytic cycles are physiological processes that have ...

ITPA polymorphisms are associated with hematological side effects during antiviral therapy for chronic HCV infection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Background/Objective Genetic polymorphisms in the inosine triphosphatase (ITPA) gene have been associated with the protection from early ribavirin(RBV)-induced hemolytic anemia among patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. The aim of the

THE STAINING OF TRIPHOSPHATASES BY THE CHELATE REMOVAL METHOD [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Histochemistry & Cytochemistry, 1964
In the histochemical staining of enzymes by the chelate removal method, the substrate is a chelate, and the enzyme unmasks bound ions which are precipitated by suitable capturing ions in the incubating mixture. The new method allows the staining of phosphatases which act on substrates that are insoluble in the Gomori mixtures.

NS3 protease from flavivirus as a target for designing antiviral inhibitors against dengue virus

open access: yesGenetics and Molecular Biology, 2010
The development of novel therapeutic agents is essential for combating the increasing number of cases of dengue fever in endemic countries and among a large number of travelers from non-endemic countries.
