This study elucidates how DCAF12 facilitates non‐degradative ubiquitination to stabilize TRiC/CCT, thereby enhancing the folding capacity of chaperonins. This mechanism promotes the maturation of cytoskeletal proteins and activates key oncogenic drivers, including YAP, STAT3, and mTOR, ultimately driving metastatic progression in lung cancer.

Modulation of the asymmetry of sea urchin sperm flagellar bending by calmodulin [PDF]
Sea urchin spermatozoa demembranated with Triton X-100 in the presence of EGTA, termed potentially asymmetric, generate asymmetric bending waves in reactivation solutions containing EGTA. After they are converted to the potentially symmetric condition by

Reinforcement Learning for Robust Dynamic Metabolic Control
ABSTRACT Dynamic metabolic control allows key metabolic fluxes to be modulated in real time, enhancing bioprocess flexibility and expanding available optimization degrees of freedom. This is achieved, for example, via targeted modulation of metabolic enzyme expression.

Solving the Structure of eIF2 Bound to eIF2B Using Cryogenic Electron Microscopy [PDF]
Translation begins when initiation factor-2 (eIF2) delivers methionyl initiator tRNA (Met-tRNAi) to the ribosome. The exchange of GDP bound to eIF2 for GTP is a prerequisite to binding Met-tRNAi and is mediated by a second initiation factor, eIF2B ...

5′ Cap modifications can be introduced via enzymes or chemical synthesis. Natural and non‐natural 5′ cap structures affect mRNA properties, including translation (T), stability (S), and/or immunogenicity (I). Eukaryotic mRNAs made by in vitro transcription have emerged as medical modalities for vaccination and protein replacement therapy. The 5′ cap is

In situ structures of the segmented genome and RNA polymerase complex inside a dsRNA virus. [PDF]
Viruses in the Reoviridae, like the triple-shelled human rotavirus and the single-shelled insect cytoplasmic polyhedrosis virus (CPV), all package a genome of segmented double-stranded RNAs (dsRNAs) inside the viral capsid and carry out endogenous ...
