Modeling of Trough Plasma Bismuth Concentrations
Journal of Pharmacokinetics and Biopharmaceutics, 1997Disposition pharmacokinetics of bismuth following oral dosing of ranitidine bismuth citrate are complicated and variable. An analysis of data from healthy volunteers suggests a model with three disposition compartments and first-order absorption. Patient data are pooled from 10 separate studies and consist of 1140 trough concentrations measured in 802 ...

Predictors of Trough Concentrations of Oral Ciprofloxacin
Pharmacotherapy: The Journal of Human Pharmacology and Drug Therapy, 1993Patients enrolled in a fixed‐dose clinical trial of oral ciprofloxacin had trough concentrations measured to document absorption and monitor compliance. The objective was to determine whether any demographic characteristics might be important predictors of the concentrations.

Dabigatran trough concentrations in very elderly patients
European Journal of Hospital Pharmacy, 2020The aim of this observational study was to explore dabigatran concentrations in elderly and very elderly patients in a real-life population. Patients aged >75 years receiving dabigatran have a significantly higher risk of gastrointestinal bleeding compared withthose receiving warfarin.

Trough Concentrations of Vancomycin
Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal, 2012Despite the need for effective vancomycin therapy, there are few data guiding vancomycin monitoring in children. We reviewed retrospectively vancomycin use in children 1 month to 12 years of age. Initial and adjusted target trough vancomycin concentrations in serum were infrequently achieved regardless of the dosing schedule.

Predictors of Trough Serum Gentamicin Concentrations in Neonates
Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, 1989Neonates admitted to an intensive care nursery frequently receive gentamicin sulfate therapy. This study was undertaken to determine predictors of an elevated (greater than or equal to 2 mg/L) trough serum concentration of gentamicin sulfate (undesirable because of potential toxic effects).

Parabolic Trough Concentrators
1981A photovoltaic unit utilizing parabolic trough concentrator has been realized and tested by Ansaldo. Rated power capacity of the single unit is about 4.5 KWp at 1 KW/m2 (AM1).

Low vancomycin trough concentration in neonates and young infants
Pediatrics International, 2021AbstractBackgroundVancomycin (VCM) is useful for treating methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus. In infants, calibrating the initial VCM dose is difficult, and many regimens have been proposed. For instance, our center uses the VCM regimen recommended for infants in the 2012–13 Nelson's Pediatric Antimicrobial Therapy. Nonetheless, our experience

Optical properties of V-trough concentrators
Solar Energy, 1991Abstract A new approach to study the optical behavior of V-trough concentrators is developed, based on the use of three characteristic angles defining the appearance, disappearance and return to the outside space of the cavity of a reflection mode. The probability of occurrence of a given number of reflections for beam radiation is determined as a ...

V-troughs with high concentration ratios for photovoltaic concentrator cells
Solar Cells, 1988Abstract V-troughs made of plane mirrors are used as solar concentrators with high concentration ratios assuming a normal incidence angle of solar radiation. Because of its uniform illumination, this type of concentrator is found to be suitable for photovoltaic concentrator cells.

Circadian Variation in Steady-State Trough Theophylline Concentrations
Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, 1986The temporal variation in trough (i.e., predose) theophylline concentrations at steady state was examined. In general, adult subjects dosed with solid theophylline formulations have morning trough theophylline concentrations 10-16% greater than corresponding evening troughs; this morning-to-evening drop is statistically significant.
