ABSTRACT Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is an autoimmune blistering disease whereby the cutaneous antigens BP180 and BP230 are targeted by autoantibodies. Skin lesions in BP are characterized by an abundance of eosinophils. We recently demonstrated that the treatment of keratinocytes with antibodies from patients with BP induces a robust inflammatory response

Cortical Somatostatin Neurons Regulate Seizure Susceptibility via MINAR1/Gαs–cAMP Signaling
Our study identifies MINAR1 as a novel regulator of cortical interneuron excitability and seizure susceptibility. MINAR1 is preferentially expressed in SST+ interneurons. Genetic ablation of MINAR1 leads to seizure hypersensitivity, reduced SST+ neuron excitability, and impaired Gαs–cAMP signaling, disrupting the E/I balance.

ABSTRACT Physiological markers are increasingly used to monitor individuals undergoing Virtual Reality (VR) stress interventions. However, several challenges arise when employing these markers to assess the impact of VR stress interventions. This systematic review synthesises and critically discusses the literature on VR stress interventions across ...

Interfacial Atomic and Electronic Structures of LSM/YSZ Thin Films as Models for SOC Air Electrodes
Lanthanum–strontium manganite/yttria‐stabilized zirconia thin films serve as model systems for solid oxide cell electrodes, where high‐resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy reveal atomistic interfacial features and electronic structure supported by atomistic modeling of these interfaces.

Specific Inhibitory Action of Anisodamine against a Staphylococcal Superantigenic Toxin, Toxic Shock Syndrome Toxin 1 (TSST-1), Leading to Down-Regulation of Cytokine Production and Blocking of TSST-1 Toxicity in Mice [PDF]
ABSTRACTToxic shock syndrome toxin 1 (TSST-1), produced byStaphylococcus aureus(including methicillin-resistantS. aureus), is a superantigenic toxin responsible for toxic shock syndrome as well as neonatal TSS-like exanthematous disease. TSST-1 exhibits its deleterious effects by leading to the abnormal proliferation of, e.g., Vβ2+T cells and ...

ABSTRACT Background The concept of “natural outcomes” in filler treatments has been explored in clinical studies and literature, yet remains loosely defined, subjective, and lacks standardized assessment criteria. Aims To propose a multidimensional Natural Outcomes Framework to systematically define, assess, and communicate natural outcomes following ...

Modeling Anti-HIV-1 HSPC-Based Gene Therapy in Humanized Mice Previously Infected with HIV-1. [PDF]
Investigations of anti-HIV-1 human hematopoietic stem/progenitor cell (HSPC)-based gene therapy have been performed by HIV-1 challenge after the engraftment of gene-modified HSPCs in humanized mouse models.

Trends in increased PFC activation and increased IBS may be indicative of compensatory neural mechanisms preserving performance under stress. Cognitive flexibility correlated with cooperative outcomes, tentatively supporting a neurobehavioral executive‐social link during acute stress inviting more research.
