Pulmonary infection caused by Mycobacteria other than M. tuberculosis in and around Calcutta.
A study was undertaken to determine the prevalence rate of atypical mycobacteria in indolent fibrocavitary pulmonary diseases. 450 sputum specimens were examined and cultured, of which 15 were identified as atypical mycobacteria on repeated culture.
