Lactation defect in a widely used MMTV-Cre transgenic line of mice. [PDF]
MMTV-Cre mouse lines have played important roles in our understanding about the functions of numerous genes in mouse mammary epithelial cells during mammary gland development and tumorigenesis. However, numerous studies have not included MMTV-Cre mice as

Genetic ablation of Cep55 in Pten‐deficient mouse models delays tumorigenesis. Integrated multi‐omics analyses (proteomics, phosphoproteomics, and spatial transcriptomics) reveal that CEP55 regulates oncogenic signaling (RAS/ERK, PI3K/AKT), integrin/FAK‐mediated adhesion, extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling, and endocytosis.

Pf-Int is a tyrosine recombinase.
A) Schematic representation of domain organization of Pf-Int. The integrase is 490 amino acids long and is predicted to have two DNA-binding domains, the Arm binding domain (117–156 aa residues) and the core-binding domain (192–490 aa residues). The core

Site-specific recombination is a DNA breaking and reconstructing process that plays important roles in various cellular pathways for both prokaryotes and eukaryotes. This process requires a site-specific recombinase and direct or inverted repeats.

In vitro site‐specific recombination mediated by the tyrosine recombinase XerA of Thermoplasma acidophilum [PDF]
In organisms with circular chromosomes, such as bacteria and archaea, an odd number of homologous recombination events can generate a chromosome dimer. Such chromosome dimers cannot be segregated unless they are converted to monomers before cell division.

Operant self-stimulation of dopamine neurons in the substantia nigra. [PDF]
We examined the contribution of the nigrostriatal DA system to instrumental learning and behavior using optogenetics in awake, behaving mice. Using Cre-inducible channelrhodopsin-2 (ChR2) in mice expressing Cre recombinase driven by the tyrosine ...

Corramycin, a myxobacterial natural product antibiotic, exhibits potent bactericidal activity against multidrug‐resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The compound hijacks bacterial transporters such as BacA and OppABCD to enter the cell and inhibits DNA synthesis through a previously unrecognized mode of DNA gyrase poisoning, locking the enzyme in an ...

Astrocyte‐specific SHP1 deletion disrupts astrocyte–vascular interactions and compromises BBB integrity while enhancing STAT1‐dependent CXCL10 expression. These changes synergistically promote peripheral CD4+ and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration into the SDH. The infiltrating T cells secrete IFN‐γ, which in turn activates microglia.
