Outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) are universally produced by prokaryotes and play important roles in symbiotic and pathogenic interactions. They often contain DNA, but a mechanism for its incorporation is lacking. Here, we show that Dinoroseobacter shibae,

This study identifies somatostatin receptor 4 (Sstr4) as a critical tumor suppressor against skin and head/neck cancers (HNSCC, cSCC, and BCC). The loss of Sstr4 removes a check on cell growth, causing hyperactivation of the MAPK‐ERK signaling pathway (↑).

Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...

Tyrosine phosphorylation stimulates activity of human RAD51 recombinase through altered nucleoprotein filament dynamics [PDF]
Significance Homologous recombination provides the most accurate means to repair genotoxic DNA lesions. It depends on the assembly of the RAD51 DNA strand exchange protein into a dynamic nucleoprotein filament. The c-Abl tyrosine kinase and its oncogenic counterpart BCR-ABL control RAD51 by phosphorylating tyrosine residues 54 and 315.

FGF13 is upregulated in DRG neurons of PIPNP model mice. DRG neuron‐specific knockout of FGF13 ameliorates PIPNP symptoms. Mechanistically, FGF13 potentiates microtubule detyrosination by promoting VASH1 binding to microtubules. FGF13 knockout suppresses VASH1‐mediated microtubule detyrosination and promotes α‐tubulin tyrosination.

eEF1G supports translation elongation of meiotic mRNAs in transcriptionally quiescent leptotene and zygotene spermatocytes. Its depletion in germ cells causes meiotic arrest at the zygotene stage, with defective homologous synapsis and unstable recombination intermediates.

Liver Endothelia Orchestrate MASH‐Associated Macrophage Zonation Through FSTL1‐ITGA4 Axis
Liver inflammation in MASH fundamentally hinges on the newly defined Kit/STAT2/FSTL1/ITGA4 axis. Declining endothelial Kit collapses normal hepatic zonation, driving an aberrant FSTL1 gradient that recruits pathogenic macrophages. Strikingly, targeting FSTL1‐ITGA4 with anti‐VLA4 restores spatial immune homeostasis and halts disease progression ...

Genetic ablation of Cep55 in Pten‐deficient mouse models delays tumorigenesis. Integrated multi‐omics analyses (proteomics, phosphoproteomics, and spatial transcriptomics) reveal that CEP55 regulates oncogenic signaling (RAS/ERK, PI3K/AKT), integrin/FAK‐mediated adhesion, extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling, and endocytosis.
