Urban Green Infrastructure for Poverty Alleviation: Evidence Synthesis and Conceptual Considerations
The multiple benefits of urban green infrastructure (UGI) that support sustainable cities are increasingly acknowledged, and yet the bulk of research over the past decade or so has focused on only a small subset of the numerous benefits, notably ...

In this report, we introduce a new strategy for controlling the stereochemistry in Ugi adducts. Instead of controlling stereochemistry directly during the Ugi reaction we have attempted to stereodefine the chiral center at the peptidyl position through ...

Programmed cell death 6 interacting protein (PDCD6IP) and Rabenosyn-5 (ZFYVE20) are potential urinary biomarkers for upper gastrointestinal cancer [PDF]
PURPOSE: Cancer of the upper digestive tract (uGI) is a major contributor to cancer-related death worldwide. Due to a rise in occurrence, together with poor survival rates and a lack of diagnostic or prognostic clinical assays, there is a clear need ...

Geriatric 8 Score Predicts Functional Decline After Endoscopic Resection for Upper Gastrointestinal Neoplasms in Older Adults: A Prospective Cohort Study. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Objectives Endoscopic resection (ER) is used in older patients to treat upper gastrointestinal (UGI) neoplasms due to minimal invasiveness and excellent short‐term therapeutic outcomes. However, its impact on functional outcomes remains unclear. This study aimed to identify functional‐decline predictors post‐ER in older patients.

Turn-Induction in Peptides Incorporating Novel Cyrene-Derived α,α-Disubstituted Amino Acid. [PDF]
Novel chiral cyrene‐derived Cyr residues were incorporated into peptides. The α,α‐disubstituted amino acid residue was introduced using the Ugi reaction. X‐ray crystallographic analysis of R‐ and S‐Cyr residues indicated preference to adopt left‐ and right‐handed α‐helical conformations, respectively.
