COX5A promotes cell progression and cisplatin‐resistance by alleviating mitochondrial dysfunction in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesPrecision Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
COX5A promotes cell progression and cisplatin‐resistance and alleviates mitochondrial dysfunction. ISG15 shows a reversing role with COX5A. Targeting the COX5A‐mediated mitochondrial metabolic pathway may offer a novel therapeutic approach to enhance cisplatin sensitivity in HNSCC.

177Lu‐labeled amidoxime‐functionalized biodegradable microspheres for transarterial radioembolization of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
Scheme 1. Schematic illustration of the synthesis and therapeutic evaluation of PLA‐g‐PAO microspheres (PLA‐g‐PAO‐Ms). Monodisperse PLA microspheres (PLA‐Ms) were initially fabricated via microfluidic technology. Surface grafting of acrylonitrile monomers was subsequently achieved through radiation‐induced graft polymerization, followed by ...

The efficacy of concurrent chemoradiotherapy with or without nimotuzumab in high‐risk patients with locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma post‐surgery: A real‐world study

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
Figure 1 Patient selection flowchart. CCRT, concurrent chemoradiotherapy; NCCRT, nimotuzumab and concurrent chemoradiotherapy. Abstract Purpose Patients with locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (LA‐HNSCC) harboring high‐risk pathological features after radical surgery face high recurrence rates.

Feasibility of Urethra‐Sparing Ultra‐Hypofractionated Three‐Dose‐Level Radiotherapy for Prostate Cancer with a Dominant Intraprostatic Lesion Abutting the High‐Dose Avoidance Zone

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
Ultra‐hypofractionated three‐dose‐level radiotherapy allows safe dose escalation to dominant intraprostatic lesions near the urethra while maintaining full coverage of pelvis and prostate and respecting urethral and organ‐at‐risk constraints. Abstract This planning study evaluated ultra‐hypofractionated three‐dose‐level radiotherapy for prostate cancer
