Functional Salt Characteristics from Green Seaweed Ulva lactuca
Ulva lactuca is one of the potential seaweed in the raw material for making functional salt. The obstaclein making seaweed functional salt is the fishy smell on the product. The purpose of this research was todetermine the concentration of activated charcoal that can reduce the fishy odor of seaweed salt withfunctional properties that are acceptable to

Ecological studies on the Fauna Associated with Economic Seaweeds of South India.3. Food preferences of selected Algivorous Gastropods [PDF]
The importance of algivorous animals in the ecology of economic seaweeds has been recognised by many workers (Tilden, 1927; Leighton, 1960; Chapman, 1962; North, 1962, 1963; Boney. 1966).

Minimum light requirement for growth in Ulva lactuca
Growth and photoadaptation were measured in Ulva lactuca discs kept in the laboratory at cont~nuous photon flux densities between 0 and 55 km01 m-' S-' a t 7 "C. The light compensation point for growth (I,) was ca 2.5 pm01 m-'s-' and was similar to the minimum hght compensation point for photosynthesis of U. lactuca.
