Photosynthetic response of umbu trees to vapor pressure deficit

open access: yesPesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira, 2022
Abstract The objective of this work was to evaluate the photosynthetic response to vapor pressure deficit (VPD) in umbu (Spondias tuberosa) tree accessions. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design in a 5×7×2 factorial arrangement (five umbu accessions – BRS-68, EPAMIG-05, BGU-61, BGU-75, and BGU-50 –, seven evaluation times ...

Impact of drying technique on umbu‐cajá pulp with the addition of probiotic culture: Optimization, cell viability, physicochemical, and functional properties

open access: yesFood Bioengineering, Volume 3, Issue 1, Page 97-109, March 2024.
Spouted bed drying and freeze‐drying were evaluated. Probiotic umbu‐cajá pulp powder is stable and can be stored. Probiotic umbu‐cajá pulp powder had viable cell counts of 12 Log CFU g−1. Freeze‐drying increased levels of bioactive compounds, including phenolics and carotenoids. Abstract This study aimed to assess the effects of spouted bed (SB) drying
