Study of methyl transferase (G9aMT) and methylated histone (H3-K9) expressions in unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion (URSA) and normal early pregnancy [PDF]

open access: yesMHR: Basic science of reproductive medicine, 2011
We investigated the expression of methyl transferase G9a and methylated histone H3-K9 in fresh human decidual/endometrial tissue of 12 normal early pregnancies and 15 unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortions (URSA). The samples were obtained through dilatation and curettage and collected as per strict inclusion-exclusion criteria.

Re‐evaluation of the risks to public health related to the presence of bisphenol A (BPA) in foodstuffs

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 21, Issue 4, April 2023., 2023
Abstract In 2015, EFSA established a temporary tolerable daily intake (t‐TDI) for BPA of 4 μg/kg body weight (bw) per day. In 2016, the European Commission mandated EFSA to re‐evaluate the risks to public health from the presence of BPA in foodstuffs and to establish a tolerable daily intake (TDI). For this re‐evaluation, a pre‐established protocol was

The Progress of Research on Genetic Factors of Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

open access: yesGenetics Research , Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) is both mental and physical health problem affecting about 1–5% of women of childbearing age. The etiology of RPL is complex, involving chromosomal abnormalities, autoimmune diseases, metabolic disorders, and endometrial dysfunction. The causes of abortion are still unknown in more than 50% of these cases.

Efficacy of intravenous immunoglobulin in the treatment of recurrent spontaneous abortion: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Reproductive Immunology, Volume 88, Issue 5, November 2022., 2022
Abstract Objective We aimed to evaluate the efficacy of IVIG in the treatment with patients with recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA). Methods PubMed, Embase, Web of science, Cochrane library were searched for randomized controlled (RCTs) about effect of IVIG on RSA from inception to August 20, 2021.

[Retracted] Study on the Relationship between Unexplained Recurrent Abortion and HLA‐DQ Gene Polymorphism

open access: yesComputational Intelligence and Neuroscience, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
Objective. The study aimed to investigate the relationship between human leukocyte antigen (HLA‐DQB1) gene variants and recurrent miscarriage. Methods. HLA‐DQ gene polymorphisms (PCR‐SSP) were detected in 50 couples with recurrent miscarriage (URSA group) and 30 couples with normal births (control group) using sequence‐specific primer‐guided polymerase

Clinical predictive value of pre-pregnancy tests for unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion: a retrospective study. [PDF]

open access: yesFront Med (Lausanne)
IntroductionEarly prediction and intervention are crucial for the prognosis of unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion (uRSA). The main purpose of this study is to establish a risk prediction model for uRSA based on routine pre-pregnancy tests, in ...

Immunogenetic Role of IL17A Polymorphism in the Pathogenesis of Recurrent Miscarriage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Interleukin-17A (IL17A) is a proinflammatory cytokine and is assumed to play an important role in fetal rejection. In order to evaluate the potential role of IL17A polymorphism in the pathogenesis of recurrent miscarriage (RM), serum IL17A levels were ...

Considerations on inhibition of IL‐23 in psoriatic women of childbearing potential

open access: yesDermatologic Therapy, Volume 34, Issue 3, May/June 2021., 2021
Abstract Lack of safety data on pregnant women determines difficulty in choosing the correct biologic agent to treat psoriasis in women of childbearing potential. Studies have postulated a role of IL‐23 in unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortions. This gives rise to consideration about use of anti‐IL‐23 drugs in treatment of psoriasis in women of ...

[Retracted] Influence of Bushen Tiaochong Cycle Therapy on Th1/Th2 Deviation, Sex Hormone Level, and Pregnancy Outcome of Alloimmune Recurrent Spontaneous Abortion

open access: yesEvidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
Objective. To analyze the influence of Bushen Tiaochong cycle therapy on Th1/Th2 deviation, sex hormone level, and pregnancy outcome of alloimmune recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA). Methods. From August 2018 to April 2020, 130 patients with alloimmune RSA who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the control group (n = 65) and the ...
