Molecular bases of circadian magnesium rhythms across eukaryotes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Circadian rhythms in intracellular [Mg2+] exist across eukaryotic kingdoms. Central roles for Mg2+ in metabolism suggest that Mg2+ rhythms could regulate daily cellular energy and metabolism. In this Perspective paper, we propose that ancestral prokaryotic transport proteins could be responsible for mediating Mg2+ rhythms and posit a feedback model ...

A Field Theory with Curvature and Anticurvature

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2014
The present work is an attempt to construct a unified field theory in a space with curvature and anticurvature, the PAP-space. The theory is derived from an action principle and a Lagrangian density using a symmetric linear parameterized connection ...

Field Equations and Equations of Motion in Post-Newtonian Approximation of the Projective Unified Field Theory

open access: yes, 2012
The equations of motion of $N$ gravitationally bound bodies are derived from the field equations of Projective Unified Field Theory. The Newtonian and the post-Newtonian approximations of the field equations and of the equations of motion of this system ...

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

Quantum deSitter cosmology and phantom matter

open access: yes, 2003
We consider deSitter universe and Nariai universe induced by quantum CFT with classical phantom matter and perfect fluid. The model represents the combination of trace-anomaly driven inflation and phantom driven deSitter universe.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

APPLICATION OF ATTACHEMENT THEORY TO EQUINE-FACILITATED THERAPY

open access: yesSociety Register, 2017
Over the past two decades there has been a growing body of evidence, clinical and anecdotal, that equine-facilitated therapy (EFT) is a powerful tool for social workers and mental health clinicians.

New Developments on Gravitational Force and Nonlinear Oscillations of Space

open access: yes, 2001
This paper contains results obtained as solutions of the Unified Field Theory equations. It yields space nonlinear oscillations, a quartet of gravitational forces, quintessence, and replaces Einstein's Cosmological Constant by an invariant parameter $r_0$

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Unified description of structure and reactions: implementing the Nuclear Field Theory program

open access: yes, 2015
The modern theory of the atomic nucleus results from the merging of the liquid drop (Niels Bohr and Fritz Kalckar) and of the shell model (Marie Goeppert Meyer and Axel Jensen), which contributed the concepts of collective excitations and of independent ...
