A dual‐layer formation control with a predefined‐time and collision‐free strategy is studied in this work. Its upper layer utilises performance indicators, including tracking objectives to meet tracking control requirements. The lower layer tracks those trajectories to save computational and communication resources.

A New Fault Detection Method for Systems With Uncertainty Under Denial‐of‐Service Attack
Probabilistic parameter models are first established for describing model uncertainties, disturbances and faults in systems under denial‐of‐service attack. A novel approach is proposed for designing the switched fault detection filter for uncertain systems utilizing a randomized algorithm.

Variable-Resolution Virtual Maps for Autonomous Exploration with Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs)
Autonomous exploration by unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) in near-shore waters requires reliable localisation and consistent mapping over extended areas, but this is challenged by GNSS degradation, environment-induced localisation uncertainty, and limited on-board computation.

PBM‐YOLO: A Performance Balanced Floating Garbage Detection Model for Water Surface Environments
We propose a lightweight detection model, PBM‐YOLO, for floating garbage detection on water surfaces. Based on YOLOv8n, the model introduces a feature extraction module (FSEM) that integrates frequency and spatial information to enhance object representation.
