In the nascent processes of the beginnings and evolution of life, nucleobases and especially purines, ribonucleos(t)ides and primitive RNAs have been continuously modified. A RNA‐peptide world and key metabolic pathways probably have emerged from the corresponding chemical modifications resulting from adenine deamination, purine alkylation and ...

Identification of Genetic Variants Associated with Pravastatin and Pitavastatin Pharmacokinetics
A clinical trial was carried out to investigate the pharmacogenetics of single‐dose pravastatin and pitavastatin pharmacokinetics in 173 and 164 healthy participants. Additionally, 96 participants were included from previous pharmacogenetic studies with pravastatin. In a genome‐wide meta‐analysis of pravastatin including all 269 participants, SLCO1B1 c.

Beyond Conventional Approaches: The Revolutionary Role of Nanoparticles in Breast Cancer
This review explores integrated approach of nanotechnology to breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. We highlight imaging techniques for tumor detection and biomarker analysis in biological samples for early diagnosis. Advanced therapies, including targeted drug delivery and antibody‐drug conjugates, enable precise medication transport to cancer cells,

Functional 31P Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy at 9.4 T
Functional 31P MRS in healthy subjects at 9.4 T was applied to investigate changes in the energy metabolism of the brain during visual stimulation. Stimulation and rest spectra from the visual cortex only differed in a small but highly significant shift in the chemical shift of anorganic phosphate.

5'-nucleotidases, nucleosides and their distribution in the brain: pathological and therapeutic implications [PDF]
Elements of the nucleoside system (nucleoside levels, 5'-nucleotidases (5'NTs) and other nucleoside metabolic enzymes, nucleoside transporters and nucleoside receptors) are unevenly distributed in the brain, suggesting that nucleosides have region ...
