Through bioinformatic analyses, iCCA cell models, and in vivo xenograft experiments, we show that autophagy inhibition sensitizes iCCA to MEK1/2 blockade by enhancing STING‐dependent type I interferon signaling. These findings support combined MEK1/2 and autophagy inhibition as a promising therapeutic strategy for iCCA. ABSTRACT The RAF–MEK–ERK pathway

Serological Immunity to Smallpox in New South Wales, Australia
The re-emergence of smallpox is an increasing and legitimate concern due to advances in synthetic biology. Vaccination programs against smallpox using the vaccinia virus vaccine ceased with the eradication of smallpox and, unlike many other countries ...

Abstract Background The potent immunogenicity of mRNA vaccination raised concerns about its impact on HIV‐1 viral load (VL) and reservoir size in people with HIV, which could drive vaccine hesitancy. As part of a prospective clinical trial, we investigated whether SARS‐CoV‐2 mRNA vaccination induced changes in VL and reservoir size after a 1‐year three‐

ABSTRACT Carp edema virus (CEV) infects the common carp (Cyprinus carpio) and causes the lethal koi sleepy disease (KSD). Signs of KSD include respiratory, detoxification, and osmoregulatory difficulties. Salt treatment re‐equilibrates blood sodium levels and can save the fish. However, it is unclear whether these fish are immunized, remain chronically

Clinical signs, diagnosis, and case reports of Vaccinia virus infections
Vaccinia virus is responsible for a zoonosis that usually affects cattle and human beings in Brazil. The initial clinical signs of the infection are focal red skin areas, fever, and general symptoms similar to those of a cold.

Fish Poxviruses on the Rise: Prospects for Aquatic Health
ABSTRACT Fish poxviruses are increasingly recognised as emerging pathogens of fish and should be considered in cases of unexplained gill or skin pathology. Carp edema virus (CEV), the causative agent of koi sleepy disease in common carp and koi (Cyprinus carpio), represents the first known example.

Intracellular Development of Vaccinia Virus.
Summary1. Electron micrographs of tissue sections of chorioallantoic membrane infected with vaccinia virus were examined. Some cells were found to be almost filled with virus, others contained the virus particles grouped in single inclusions of varying sizes.
