The Aging Microenvironment Shapes Angiogenic Remodeling in IBD‐Associated Colorectal Carcinogenesis

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 6, June 2026.
In IBD, chronic inflammation promotes cellular senescence across epithelial, stromal, endothelial, and immune compartments. The resulting SASP drives pathological angiogenesis, vascular dysfunction, hypoxia, and immune suppression, thereby facilitating progression from inflammation to dysplasia and colitis‐associated colorectal cancer.

Transcriptomic analysis reveals lipid metabolism and macrophage involvement associated with nintedanib treatment in a rat bleomycin model

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 183, Issue 12, Page 3395-3408, June 2026.
In this study, nintedanib reduced lung fibrosis in a rat double‐hit bleomycin‐induced model. Transcriptomic analysis revealed two key gene signatures related to the effect of the molecule: one involving mesenchymal cells affecting known fibrotic pathways and another linking mainly macrophages to lipid metabolism.

When Binding Is Not Blockade: Interpreting IgG4+ T Cells After PD‐1 Therapy

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 6, Page 1766-1768, June 2026.
IgG4 positivity on circulating T cells after PD‐1 therapy may indicate residual antibody binding rather than sustained functional PD‐1 blockade. During sequential ramucirumab plus docetaxel plus G‐CSF treatment, peripheral IgG4+ T‐cell dynamics may also be influenced by redistribution and treatment‐related confounders, limiting direct inference about ...

VEGF‐Positive Mass‐Forming Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma: New Subtype Based on Radiological and Molecular Pathological Analysis

open access: yesHepatology Research, Volume 56, Issue 6, Page 976-987, June 2026.
Radiological and molecular pathological investigation of hypervascular intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, typically a hypovascular tumor, revealed high VEGF expression, an increase in tumor‐associated arterial vessels, and a strong correlation with favorable prognosis.
