Plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI1) is a secreted protein that also regulates intracellular processes, such as inhibition of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS). Interaction between Plasminogen Activators (PA) and PAI1 results in a covalent linkage.
