In ovarian cancer, MEOX1 activates the SPHK1/S1P pathway to promote both tumor progression and tumor–stroma crosstalk. MEOX1‐dependent signaling drives CAF activation, enhances VEGF‐C expression, and stimulates lymphangiogenesis, ultimately facilitating lymph node metastasis.

Decreased vimentin in kidneys after cell treatment. [PDF]
Vimentin expression, consistent with epithelial to mesenchymal transition, has been documented in PKD and was found by immunohistochemistry (red) in the control (no cell) group in cyst lining cells.

BcII RFLP for the human vimentin gene
A 1.1 kb cDNA clone (hp4F1) encoding the human vimentin gene was identified in a human library by screening with 4F1, a hamster vimentin cDNA. BcII (TGATCA) recognizes a two allele polymorphism: bands A1 at 8.1 kb, and A2 at 3.6 kb. The allele frequency was determined in 47 unrelated Caucasian individuals. The RFLP was mapped to chromosome 10pter-10q23

Dysregulated protein modifications drive tumorigenesis. RINES, an E3 ubiquitin ligase, represses tumor cell proliferation and metastasis by facilitating RING domain‐dependent, ubiquitin–proteasome‐mediated degradation of STAT3 and MYC, which consequently restrains cancer stemness and oncogenic progression.

Vimentin was isolated and purified from the pig eye lens by homogenization, ultracentrifugation, extraction in urea buffer and preparative eletrophoresis. It was identified with SDS-PAGE and rabbit anti-vimentin was raised against the purified vimentin.

Slow‐transit constipation (STC) is a disabling motility disorder with unclear smooth‐muscle mechanisms. Spatial proteomic analysis of STC patient colon reveals both the central pathogenic role of smooth muscle cells (SMCs) in STC and novel regulators of intestinal motility, BIN1 and ALDH1B1.

DYNAMICS OF INTERMEDIATE FILAMENT PROTEIN EXPRESSION IN THE BUFFALO UTERUS DURING THE FOLLICULAR AND LUTEAL PHASE OF THE ESTROUS CYCLE [PDF]
Laminin and vimentin are two intermediate filaments that play a pivotal role in uterine cellular proliferation, differentiation, maintaining cellular integrity or stability, receptivity, and the implantation process.

In renal calcium oxalate stone formation, G6PC downregulation leads to lactate accumulation. This lactate mediates CBP/p300‐dependent lactylation of SNAIL1 at K206, promoting its nuclear translocation. Nuclear SNAIL1 activates the TGF‐β/SMAD3 pathway, driving epithelial‐mesenchymal transition and fibrosis, which ultimately facilitates crystal ...
