Spatial Profiling Reveals Distinct Molecular and Immune Evolution of Mouse Lung Adenocarcinoma Precancers with or Without Carcinogen Exposure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor evolution in lung adenocarcinoma is shaped by genetic alterations and spatial immune dynamics. By integrating whole‐exome sequencing, imaging mass cytometry, and spatial transcriptomics across two mouse models, this study reveals how mutational burden, immune infiltration, and cell–state interactions evolve during early and late carcinogenesis ...

Surface‐Associated Proteins on Extracellular Vesicles Remodel the Tumor Microenvironment by Potentiating TGF‐β Signaling in a Contact‐Dependent Manner

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) released from TGF‐β‐activated CAFs are enriched with ECM proteins such as TSG6 and THBS1, which facilitate their binding to recipient cell membranes. This EV–cell interaction promotes the clustering of CD44 and TGF‐β receptors on the target cell surface, thereby potentiating TGF‐β signaling activity. This study highlights a

Type-III interferons and rheumatoid arthritis: Correlation between interferon lambda 1 (interleukin 29) and antimutated citrullinated vimentin antibody levels

open access: yesAutoimmunity, 2017
Aim: To assess serum type III or lambda (λ) interferons (IFN) levels and its clinical and laboratory associations in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods: A cross-sectional study including 43 patients with RA (86% females; age 45.3 ± 10.3 years) and 43 ...

Metabolic Reprogramming Driven by Trophoblasts and Decidual XCR1+PMN‐MDSC Crosstalk Controls Adverse Outcomes Associated With Advanced Maternal Age

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The interaction between trophoblasts and decidual polymorphonuclear myeloid‐derived suppressor cells (dPMN‐MDSCs) via the XCL1–XCR1 axis is crucial for fetal development during the third trimester. Disruption of this axis impairs FOXO1 activity and causes metabolic imbalance in dPMN‐MDSCs, contributing to adverse outcomes associated with advanced ...

Cancer Stem Cells Shift Metabolite Acetyl‐Coenzyme A to Abrogate the Differentiation of CD103+ T Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lei et al. demonstrate that cancer stem cells (CSCs) play a pivotal role in impairing the differentiation of CD103+ T cells in patients with non‐small‐cell lung cancer. The key mechanism involves CSC‐derived acetyl‐CoA, which disrupts CD103+ T cell differentiation by sequentially inducing acetylation and ubiquitination of the Blimp‐1 protein. Targeting

DYNAMICS OF INTERMEDIATE FILAMENT PROTEIN EXPRESSION IN THE BUFFALO UTERUS DURING THE FOLLICULAR AND LUTEAL PHASE OF THE ESTROUS CYCLE [PDF]

open access: yesExploratory Animal and Medical Research
Laminin and vimentin are two intermediate filaments that play a pivotal role in uterine cellular proliferation, differentiation, maintaining cellular integrity or stability, receptivity, and the implantation process.

The structure of the vimentin gene

open access: yesCell, 1983
The structure of the chromosomal gene encoding the intermediate filament protein vimentin is described. This gene, which is present as a single copy in the hamster genome, comprises about 10 kb of DNA and contains more than 80% of intron sequences. S1 mapping and sequence analysis reveal nine exons with a total length of 1848 nucleotides.
