Addition of Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor to Platinum Retreatment for Recurrent Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer After Perioperative Chemotherapy: A Multicenter Retrospective Study

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 17, Issue 7, April 2026.
We retrospectively analyzed 31 patients with NSCLC treated with platinum retreatment who relapsed after perioperative platinum therapy and surgery. PFS was significantly longer in the ICI‐chemo group than in the chemo group. Adding ICI to platinum retreatment may be an effective option for this population.

Efficacy of the combination of cisplatin with either gemcitabine and vinorelbine or gemcitabine and paclitaxel in the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer: a phase III randomised trial of the Southern Italy Cooperative Oncology Group (SICOG 0101) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Triplet regimens were occasionally reported to produce a higher response rate (RR) than doublets in locally advanced or metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Comparing the Prognosis of Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer Patients Who Did Not Undergo Surgery After Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy Combined With Immunotherapy: A Retrospective Study

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 17, Issue 7, April 2026.
This study retrospectively investigated the prognosis of NSCLC patients who did not undergo surgery after NACI. The patients were grouped based on their subsequent treatment: RTG or non‐RTG, and the importance of PET/CT in predicting prognosis was further evaluated.
