Metabolic engineering of Corynebacterium glutamicum for the production of anthranilate from glucose and xylose

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 17, Issue 1, January 2024.
Corynebacterium glutamicum was engineered for the production of anthranilate from a mixture of glucose and xylose. In the context of strain engineering, a biosensor‐based in vivo screening strategy for identifying enzyme variants with increased feedback‐resistance in semi‐rational libraries was used.
