The production and secretion of VLDLs (very-low-density lipoproteins) by hepatocytes has a direct impact on liver fat content, as well as the concentrations of cholesterol and triglycerides in the circulation and thus affects both liver and cardiovascular health, respectively. Importantly, insulin resistance, excess caloric intake, and lack of physical

Familial haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (FHL) is a rare, inherited granzyme–perforin system defect that predisposes individuals to haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis. This article presents two original case reports of FHL type 2, along with a comprehensive literature review. Together, these elements aim to enhance the current understanding of FHL

Salvadora persica methanolic extract exhibited strong antioxidant, hypolipidemic, and hypoglycemic effects in high‐fat diet‐induced hyperlipidemic rats. In vitro antioxidant assays, GC–MS profiling, and in vivo studies confirmed improvements in the lipid profile and in markers of oxidative stress, liver, and kidney function.

During AD progression, EVs derived from APP/PS1 neurons transport APOE into healthy neurons, potentially interacting with neuronal APOE receptors (LRP1, LDLR, VLDLR) to transduction the signaling. This signaling inhibits Rac1‐GTP activation and subsequently downregulates F‐actin polymerization through the Rac1‐N‐WASP‐Arp2/3 pathway.

Abstract The isoproterenol‐induced myocardial infarction model is a well‐established experimental approach for studying cardiac injury and testing potential protective treatments. By overstimulating beta‐adrenergic receptors, this model closely reproduces key features of human heart attacks, including oxidative damage, calcium imbalance, inflammatory ...

ABSTRACT Glycogen storage disease type Ia (GSD Ia) is a rare autosomal recessive inherited disorder of carbohydrate metabolism, caused by a deficiency in glucose 6‐phosphatase‐α (G6PC1). Patients primarily suffer from failure to thrive, hepatomegaly, and severe fasting intolerance, biochemically characterized by hypoketotic, hypoglycemia, and ...
