VNTR ?????????????????????? ???????? ???????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ?? ?????????????????????????????????????? ?? ????????????????????-?????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ?? ????????????????

2011
In human populations, polymorphism of DAT gene in the number of tandem repeats (VNTR) in 3'-not translation area is known. The aim of our study was to determine the relationship between the presence of 9 repeats (VNTR) and alcohol, drug (opioid) and combined alcohol-drug addiction.

VNTRs in review

Evolutionary Anthropology: Issues, News, and Reviews, 1992
AbstractIn the last decade the study of human genetic variation has made a quantum leap from the analysis of protein and antigen intermediaries to the investigation of DNA itself.1 The DNA double helix codes genetic information as a sequence of four different nucleotides: adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and thymine (T).

Human VNTR mutation and sex

1993
Seven hypervariable VNTR loci have been studied in about 1200 parent/child pairs about equally divided between the sexes. Mutations were observed with all seven probes, the total number being 71. Fourty-four of these involved increased fragment length. Gains in fragment length were on average larger than losses.

The SLC6A3 3′-UTR VNTR and intron 8 VNTR polymorphisms association in the time estimation

Brain Structure and Function, 2018
The present study investigated the association of 3'-UTR VNTR and intron 8 VNTR polymorphisms with a time estimation task performance. One hundred and eight men in a Brazilian Northeast population (18-32 years old) participated in the experiment. The 3'-UTR VNTR and intron 8 VNTR polymorphisms were associated alone and combined to absolute error (AE ...

A panel of VNTR markers in pigs

Mammalian Genome, 1996
By cloning tandemly repeated sequences from the pig genome by use of non-porcine minisatellite probes for library screening, five novel polymorphic VNTR loci were isolated: three minisatellites and two satellite-like loci. Four of them could be mapped onto chromosomes by linkage analysis and/or in situ hybridization.

Pränatale Paternitätsbestimmung mittels PCR-VNTR-Polymorphismen

Rechtsmedizin, 1999

Human VNTR Sequences in Porcine HTF-Islands

1991
Mapping of complex genomes has been influenced substantially by the isolation of locus-specific, but repetitive DNA elements known as VNTRs. Since a high GC-content is characteristic of most of these elements one might expect them to be clustered at least partially in CpG-islands.

Human dopamine transporter gene polymorphism (VNTR) and alcoholism

American Journal of Medical Genetics, 1997
The dopamine transporter (DAT1) is responsible for taking released dopamine back up into presynaptic terminals and terminating dopaminergic activity. It has been shown that cocaine binds to the dopamine transporter and blocks dopamine reuptake in a fashion that correlates with cocaine reward and reinforcement.

DNA Fingerprinting with VNTR Sequences

1998
DNA fingerprinting is now a standard technique for rapidly screening genetic variation in most eukaryotic organisms. Five years ago, the term DNA fingerprinting was easy to define, since it almost exclusively involved using ‘minisatellite’ sequences (1) but since then it has been used to describe several other multilocus techniques, including PCR-based

Rhesus Macaques: VNTR Polymorphism of the FCGRT Gene

Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine
Variable number tandem repeat (VNTR) polymorphisms of the human neonatal IgG Fc receptor α-chain gene (FCGRT) are known to influence the expression levels of FCGRT and IgG in serum. Monkeys are considered to be a relevant biological model for studying the effects of immunobiological drugs.
