Estimation of the volumes of bacterial cells by scanning electron microscopy
Archives of Oral Biology, 1971Abstract Scanning electron microscopy was applied to pure cultures of bacteria which occur in the mouth. The mean volumes of the cells were calculated and it is suggested that these volumes be taken into account when interpreting bacterial studies of plaque based upon cell counting methods.

Correlation of live-cell imaging with volume scanning electron microscopy
2017Live-cell imaging is one of the most widely applied methods in live science. Here we describe two setups for live-cell imaging, which can easily be combined with volume SEM for correlative studies. The first procedure applies cell culture dishes with a gridded glass support, which can be used for any light microscopy modality.
