Radiation-induced Optic Neuropathy following Whole-Brain Radiotherapy
Radiation-induced optic neuropathy (RION) is a rare complication of radiotherapy to the anterior visual pathway (AVP) which results in irreversible vision loss. Experimental data support a dose tolerance for the AVP of 50 Gy.

ABSTRACT Background Accurate preoperative characterization of breast lesions is important for individualized management. The conventional monoexponential (Mono) model has limited ability to capture the complex microstructure of lesions. Non‐Gaussian diffusion models, including continuous‐time random walk (CTRW) and fractional‐order calculus (FROC), may

Open or closed: Experience of head and neck radiotherapy masks – A mixed‐methods study
Patients with head and neck cancer received radiotherapy alternately with an open and a closed mask. The closed mask was perceived as more confining and restrictive, but it was also considered to make it easier to quickly achieve the correct position, while the open mask was perceived as less stable, although it reduced the feeling of claustrophobia ...

Quality of Life in Children Who Are Deaf or Hard‐of‐Hearing and Their Families—A Scoping Review
This scoping review examines how quality of life is conceptualized and studied in young deaf and hard‐of‐hearing children and their families. The findings reveal inconsistent use of the term Quality of life, limiting cross‐study comparisons. Additionally, research is focused on children with cochlear implants while other groups remain underrepresented.

Mass Spectrometry‐Based Extracellular Vesicle Proteomics for Biomarker Discovery
ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicle (EV) proteomics has emerged as a powerful platform for decoding intercellular communication and advancing biomarker discovery across human diseases. EVs carry proteins that reflect their cells of origin, offering a minimally invasive window into physiological and pathological processes.

Comparison of Coplanar and NonCoplanar VMAT Plans in HippocampusSparing Whole-Brain Radiotherapy
This study aimed to evaluate the effects of coplanar and non-coplanar treatment plans generated using the volumetric modulated arc therapy technique on hippocampal sparing and doses delivered to other critical organs in whole-brain radiotherapy ...

Organoid Coculture Models for Cancer Research and Immunotherapy
This review summarizes organoid coculture platforms, including submerged Matrigel culture, air–liquid interface, microfluidic/organoid‐on‐a‐chip, and 3D bioprinting, for reconstructing the tumor microenvironment to study tumor–stroma/immune crosstalk, evaluate immunotherapies, and enable drug screening.

Abstract Propionic acidemia (PA) is a neurometabolic disorder caused by propionyl‐CoA carboxylase deficiency with frequent neurological involvement, yet cell‐type‐specific mechanisms remain poorly defined. We established human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)‐derived astrocytes (iAs) from patients harboring PCCA or PCCB mutations and investigated ...
