Big Data in Cancer Genomics: Computational Foundations and Emerging Pathways for Precision Oncology

open access: yesComputational and Systems Oncology, Volume 6, Issue 1, December 2026.
ABSTRACT This review aims to explore the computational foundations of big data in cancer genomics and examine emerging pathways that support precision oncology and personalized cancer care. A narrative review approach was adopted to synthesize evidence from PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and IEEE Xplore.

HierAnom‐Path: Zero‐Shot Rare Cancer Detection in Histopathology via Hierarchical Foundation Model Adaptation

open access: yesComputational and Systems Oncology, Volume 6, Issue 1, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Rare cancers collectively represent 20%–25% of all malignancies yet yield fewer than 50 annotated whole‐slide images (WSIs) per subtype in publicly available archives, rendering supervised deep learning inapplicable. We present HierAnom‐Path, to the best of our knowledge, the first framework for zero‐shot rare cancer anomaly detection in ...

Asymptomatic Cardiotoxicity After High‐Dose Anthracycline Treatment in Sarcoma Patients Assessed by Biomarkers and Echocardiography

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 11, Page 2755-2765, 1 December 2026.
ABSTRACT Treatment of sarcoma includes high‐dose anthracyclines, which can cause cardiotoxicity. This study assesses the correlation of cardiac biomarkers and echocardiographic parameters on asymptomatic cardiotoxicity in sarcoma patients treated with anthracyclines.

Distinct Epigenetic Responses to Aging and Short‐Term High‐Fat Diet in Hepatic Lipid Metabolism Genes in Male and Female Mice

open access: yesLiver International Communications, Volume 7, Issue 4, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Aging is associated with widespread epigenetic remodelling that contributes to metabolic alterations in the liver. High‐fat diet (HFD) represents a major environmental perturbation affecting hepatic metabolism, yet its specific impact on age‐associated epigenetic changes remains unclear.

Synergistic Regulation of Biomaterials and Macrophages: A Novel Paradigm in Immunotherapy

open access: yesMedComm – Biomaterials and Applications, Volume 5, Issue 4, December 2026.
Bioengineered materials mediating the modulation of macrophage plasticity and inflammatory signals in the tumor microenvironment effectively remodel immunoregulatory states, boost antitumor immunity, and promote tissue repair, achieving synergistic therapeutic outcomes.

Association Between BMI and the Efficacy and Safety of CDK4/6 Inhibitors in HR+/HER2− Advanced Breast Cancer: A Multicenter Retrospective Propensity Score Matched Cohort Study (CAMELIA)

open access: yesMedComm – Oncology, Volume 5, Issue 4, December 2026.
This multicenter real‐world study showed that higher BMI (≥ 25 kg/m2) was independently associated with improved PFS in patients with HR+/HER2− advanced breast cancer receiving CDK4/6 inhibitors. Safety outcomes were comparable between BMI groups, and the findings were consistent across alternative BMI thresholds, suggesting the potential prognostic ...

Per‐Channel Complex B1+$$ {B}_1^{+} $$ Mapping for Parallel Transmit Ultra‐High Field MRI

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 12, December 2026.
Transmit‐field inhomogeneities beset ultra‐high field (UHF) MRI scans using single‐channel transmission or circularly polarised (CP) mode. Parallel transmission mitigates these artefacts but requires accurate subject‐specific per‐channel complex (magnitude and phase) B1+$$ {B}_1^{+} $$ maps. We explain the theory of per‐channel complex B1+$$ {B}_1^{+} $

Whole‐Brain 4D MRA With Improved Vessel Delineation Using Undersampled Multiple Overlapping Thin‐Slab Radial Acquisition

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 12, December 2026.
A noncontrast‐enhanced 4D MRA technique by integrating pulsed ASL with undersampled multiple overlapping thin‐slab stack‐of‐stars golden‐angle radial acquisition is developed for the evaluation of whole‐brain arterial flow dynamics with improved vessel delineation. The proposed method substantially reduced RF saturation effects and preserved signals in

Quantitative Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer Imaging With Golden‐Angle Radial k‐Space Sampling and Locally Low‐Rank Reconstruction

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 12, December 2026.
A radial CEST‐MR Fingerprinting method is demonstrated that avoids EPI distortion using low‐rank reconstruction and neural network quantification. It produced accurate 3D brain CEST maps in 11 min, with simulation errors below 14%, strong agreement with conventional fitting, high reproducibility (ICC up to 0.92), and limited motion‐related errors.
