The tendency for alkaloid–flavonoid cocrystal formation is found to be markedly different for theophylline (Tph) compared to its 8‐halo analogues. Through screening with 13 common flavonoids, Tph is found to form cocrystals with six flavonoids, whereas 8‐Cl‐Tph and 8‐Br‐Tph each form cocrystals with just two, myricetin and kaempferol.

ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of chemical decaffeination on two coffee species (Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora) in terms of the chemical composition of filtered coffee beverages and their influence on lipid profile and oxidative stress in rats with diet‐induced hyperlipidemia. Rats (n = 30) were divided into six groups:

Metabolic Signatures of Aging and Gametogenesis in Hydra oligactis
Hydra oligactis undergoes cold‐induced sexual differentiation and aging, culminating in death. GC–MS‐based metabolite profiling revealed signatures of gametogenesis, for example, polyamine accumulation, and of aging, such as loss of cytoprotection and neurotransmitter function, including taurine depletion.
