ABSTRACT The interaction between plants and pathogens has long been an actively researched field of plant immunity. In this study, we found an Aa593/CmNAC29‐CmNCED3 module associated with the interaction between chrysanthemum and the fungal pathogen Alternaria alternata.

Characterization of Filamentous Bacteriophage Lf from Xanthomonas Campestris pv. Campestris
A filamentous phage, phi Lf, which specifically infects Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris was isolated. The phage particle measured 1,000 (+/- 200) x 8 nm. It formed turbid plaques of about 1 mm in diameter. During multiplication, the progeny virions extruded into the medium without retarding host cell growth.

Black Rot of Broccoli Caused by Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris [PDF]
A new bacterial disease of broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica) was observed on field-grown plants in Pyungchang during 2003 and 2004. Seedling infections first appeared as a blackening along the margins of the cotyledon. Cotyledon shriveled and dropped off. Infected seedlings were stunted and yellowed and eventually died.

ABSTRACT Citrus greening disease, or Huanglongbing (HLB), has caused devastating losses to citrus production in Florida, with yields declining by over 90% since 2005. Despite extensive efforts, no sustainable solution has been widely effective. Here, transgenic ‘Hamlin’ sweet orange lines engineered to constitutively express the Arabidopsis NPR1 ...

Functional Analysis of the Early Chlorosis Factor Gene
Chlorosis is one of the symptoms of bacterial spot disease caused by Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria, which induces chlorosis before any other symptoms appear on tomato.
