Time-delayed beam splitting with energy separation of x-ray channels
We introduce a time-delayed beam splitting method based on the energy separation of x-ray photon beams. It is implemented and theoretically substantiated on an example of an x-ray optical scheme similar to that of the classical Michelson interferometer ...

Hard X-ray operation of X-ray gas monitors at the European XFEL
X-ray gas monitors (XGMs) are operated at the European XFEL for non-invasive single-shot pulse energy measurements and average beam-position monitoring.

Scheme to increase the output average spectral flux of the European XFEL at $14.4$ keV
Techniques like inelastic X-ray scattering (IXS) and nuclear resonance scattering (NRS) are currently limited by the photon flux available at X-ray sources.

European XFEL construction status
The European XFEL is presently being constructed inthe Hamburg region, Germany. It aims at producing X-raysin the range from 260 eV up to 24 keV out of three undulatorsthat can be operated simultaneously with up to27000 pulses/second. The FEL is driven by a 17.5 GeVlinear accelerator based on TESLA-type superconductingaccelerator modules.

A 1D imaging soft X-ray spectrometer for the small quantum systems instrument at the European XFEL
A 1D imaging soft X-ray spectrometer installed on the small quantum systems (SQS) scientific instrument of the European XFEL is described. It uses movable cylindrical constant-line-spacing gratings in the Rowland configuration for energy dispersion in ...

Mixed gain detector configurations for time-resolved X-ray solution scattering
X-ray detection at X-ray free-electron lasers is challenging in part due to the XFEL's extremely short and intense X-ray pulses. Experimental measurements are further complicated by the large fluctuations inherent to the self-amplified spontaneous ...

Development of crystal optics for X-ray multi-projection imaging for synchrotron and XFEL sources
X-ray multi-projection imaging (XMPI) is an emerging experimental technique for the acquisition of rotation-free, time-resolved, volumetric information on stochastic processes.

We propose a use of the self-seeding scheme with single crystal monochromator to produce high power, fully-coherent pulses for applications at a dedicated bio-imaging beamline at the European X-ray FEL in the photon energy range between 3.5 keV and 5 keV.
