The traditional yellow-flesh peach cultivars 'Settembrina' and 'Ottobrina' di Leonforte ripen respectively during the first 10 days of September, and the first 10 days of November, in Sicily, Italy. During pit hardening, fruit are covered with a paper bag in order to protect them from Mediterranean fruit fly.

THE colour of ripe Carica papaya flesh is due to caro-tenoid. Cryptoxanthin, violaxanthin, β-carotene, and ζ-carotene have been identified1,2 in yellow-fleshed fruit. Red-fleshed varieties, which appear to exhibit a single gene difference from yellow-fleshed types3, can also be found.

Selection of Tetraploid of a Yellow Flesh Mini-Watermelon Using Oryzalin

In order to provide parent material for small-type triploid watermelon, this study has been carried out to induce high-quality tetraploid watermelon. We induced tetraploid plants of watermelon by treating the growing points of seedlings of a small-type yellow flesh diploid watermelon with 40, 60 and 100ml/L Oryzalin for different treating time.

Banana: A yellow-fleshed fingerling type potato for home garden production

Banana is a yellow-fleshed fingerling type potato characterized by a high set of small tubers. Tubers are banana-shaped, the usual size being 2–12 cm in length and 1–3 cm in diameter.
