Large margin filtering for signal sequence labeling

open access: yes, 2010
Signal Sequence Labeling consists in predicting a sequence of labels given an observed sequence of samples. A naive way is to filter the signal in order to reduce the noise and to apply a classification algorithm on the filtered samples.

On the formation and evolution of magnetic chemically peculiar stars in the solar neighborhood

open access: yes, 2005
In order to put strict observational constraints on the evolutionary status of the magnetic chemically peculiar stars (CP2) of the upper main sequence, we have investigated a well established sample of galactic field CP2 objects within a radius of 200pc ...

Three‐phase isolated power transformer based novel structure for power distribution system and new theoretical/practical judgement criteria in detecting high‐impedance earth faults

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, 2023
Single phase‐earth faults are the most frequent faults likely to occur but hard to identify in distribution system, especially in a neutral un‐effectively grounded system.

Construction of optimal zero correlation zone sequence set

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2020
The construction of zero correlation zone (ZCZ) sequence set was researched based on perfect sequences and orthogonal sequence set. With the method of constructing on finite field, the optimal zero correlation zone sequence sets were constructed,by ...

Plate theory as the variational limit of the complementary energy functionals of inhomogeneous anisotropic linearly elastic bodies

open access: yes, 2017
We consider a sequence of linear hyper-elastic, inhomogeneous and fully anisotropic bodies in a reference configuration occupying a cylindrical region of height epsilon.

A New Slot-PM Vernier Reluctance Machine With Enhanced Zero-Sequence Current Excitation for Electric Vehicle Propulsion

open access: yesIEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2020
This paper aims to propose a new Vernier reluctance machine (VRM), which integrates the advantages of a robust rotor structure, good torque density, and flexible flux control ability.

Zero product preserving bilinear operators acting in sequence spaces

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2020
Consider a couple of sequence spaces and a product function $-$ a canonical bilinear map associated to the pointwise product $-$ acting in it. We analyze the class of "zero product preserving" bilinear operators associated with this product, that are ...

Subsequence Sums of Zero-sum-free Sequences [PDF]

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2009
Let $G$ be a finite abelian group, and let $S$ be a sequence of elements in $G$. Let $f(S)$ denote the number of elements in $G$ which can be expressed as the sum over a nonempty subsequence of $S$. In this paper, we slightly improve some results of Pixton on $f(S)$ and we show that for every zero-sum-free sequences $S$ over $G$ of length $|S|=\exp(G ...

High-impedance faulty feeder detection for cross-country faults in distribution networks based on zero-sequence active power regulation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
The weak characteristics of high-impedance faults and the complex attributes of cross-country faults make faulty feeder detection of cross-country high-impedance faults difficult in medium-voltage networks. This paper deduces the zero-sequence equivalent

Oscillating solutions for prescribed mean curvature equations: Euclidean and Lorentz-Minkowski cases

open access: yes, 2018
This paper deals with the prescribed mean curvature equations both in the Euclidean case and in the Lorentz-Minkowski case in presence of a nonlinearity $g$ such that $g'(0)>0$.
