Laser‐Assisted Phase Engineering of 2D MoS2 for Efficient Solution‐Processed Electronics
Here, local laser‐assisted phase transition from solution‐processed phase‐pure 1T′ to 2H MoS2 is shown to critically depend on the irradiation atmosphere. While processing in air leads to damaged insulating regions, inert conditions yield semiconducting 2H domains, enabling direct field‐effect transistor patterning with optimized lateral 1T′‐2H MoS2 ...

Decreased expression of ZO-1 is associated with tumor metastases in liver cancer.
Certain types of cancer exhibit downregulated expression of zonula occludens-1 (ZO-1), which serves an important function in tumor progression; however, the underlying molecular mechanisms that lead to this downregulation in cancer remain unclear. In the

BNIP3 supports melanoma cell migration and vasculogenic mimicry by orchestrating the actin cytoskeleton [PDF]
BNIP3 is an atypical BH3-only member of the BCL-2 family of proteins with reported pro-death as well as pro-autophagic and cytoprotective functions, depending on the type of stress and cellular context.

A flexible, ultrathin multi‐channel microelectrode array (MEA) conformally integrated onto a curved slide‐well enables stable electrical interfacing with 3D cardiac organoids. The geometry‐guided self‐alignment allows simultaneous recording of extracellular field potentials and contractile motion from irregular, beating tissues.

ZO-1 controls endothelial adherens junctions, cell–cell tension, angiogenesis, and barrier formation
ZO-1 regulates VE-cadherin–dependent endothelial junctions and actomyosin organization, thereby influencing cell–cell tension, migration, angiogenesis, and barrier ...

Chronic periodontitis elevates circulating CRP, which enters the hippocampus to upregulate BMP4 in oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs), thereby impairing neurogenesis and inducing anxiety/depression‐like behaviors in rats. Counteracting this pathway, CRP deficiency helps confer functional resilience to OPCs.

A series of hierarchical phosphorylation/dephosphorylation events at serines 373, 365, and 368 (known as the Akt, PKA, and PKC sites) regulate—through ZO-1 binding and its release—connexon docking, channel accrual, and transitioning of peripheral ...

This study reveals that maternal antibiotic exposure prior to conception disrupts intergenerational gut microbial succession. By enhancing maternal‐offspring microbial transmission, altering microbial developmental trajectories and increasing selective pressures during community assembly, these disturbances lead to persistent gut mucosal immaturity and

ZO-1 determines adherens and gap junction localization at intercalated disks
The disruption of the spatial order of electromechanical junctions at myocyte-intercalated disks (ICDs) is a poorly understood characteristic of many cardiac disease states. Here, in vitro and in vivo evidence is provided that zonula occludens-1 (ZO-1) regulates the organization of gap junctions (GJs) and adherens junctions (AJs) at ICDs.
