EQUIVALENCE VERSUS NON-EQUIVALENCE IN ECONOMIC TRANSLATION [PDF]

open access: yesStrategii Manageriale, 2012
This paper aims at highlighting the fact that “equivalence” represents a concept worth revisiting and detailing upon when tackling the translation process of economic texts both from English into Romanian and from Romanian into English.

Asymptotically J_σ-Equivalence of Sequences of Sets

open access: yesSakarya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2019
In thisstudy, we introduce the concepts of Wijsman asymptotically J-invariant equivalence (WLJσ) ,Wijsman asymptotically strongly p-invariant equivalence([WLVσ)]p) and Wijsman asymptotically J*-invariant equivalence(WLJ*σ).

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

THE TRANSLATION OF CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY REGULATION PART 170 AIR TRAFFIC RULES INTO INDONESIAN

open access: yesIdeas, 2019
The background of this research was based on the continued development of international aviation in the world which was a challenge for the translator to find an equivalent sentence.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Une équivalence plastique : photographie et littérature dans l’œuvre de Lucien Lorelle

open access: yesFocales
The post-war period saw a very fruitful rapprochement between literature and photography for a generation of practitioners active from the 1930s to the end of the 1960s.

Asymptotically Lacunary I-Invariant Statistical Equivalence of Sequences of Sets Defined By A Modulus Function

open access: yesSakarya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2018
Inthis paper, we introduce the concepts of strongly asymptotically lacunary I-invariant equivalence, f-asymptoticallylacunary I-invariant equivalence, strongly f-asymptotically lacunary I-invariant equivalence and asymptotically lacunary I-invariant ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

EQUIVALENCE WITHIN THE DYNAMIC TRANSLATION MODEL (DTM): DEFAULT EQUIVALENCE POSITION, EQUIVALENCE RANGE, INITIATOR’S INSTRUCTIONS, AND TRANSLATIONAL NORMS

open access: yesForma y Función, 2016
En el marco del Modelo Traductológico Dinámico (mtd) (Bolaños, 2008) se intenta demostrar que la equivalencia es realmente un concepto fundamental en la definición y la explicación de la traducción.
