Production and biochemical characterization of an α-amylase from the moderate halophileHalomonas meridiana [PDF]

open access: yesFEMS Microbiology Letters, 2000
Extracellular amylase production by the moderate halophile Halomonas meridiana was optimized and the enzyme was characterized biochemically. The highest amylase production was achieved by growing H. meridiana cultures in media with 5% salts and starch, in the absence of glucose until the end of the exponential phase.

Macrophage TRIM21 Inhibition Ameliorates Murine Acute Pancreatitis via PHB2‐Mediated Mitochondrial Stabilization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Macrophage‐derived TRIM21 drives the progression of AP via ubiquitin‐proteasome‐mediated degradation of PHB2, leading to impaired PHB2‐mediated mitophagy. Therefore, accumulation of cytosolic mtDNA hyperactivates the cGAS‐STING signaling axis, thereby amplifying inflammatory cascades.

In Vitro Inhibitory Effects of Cyandin-3-rutinoside on Pancreatic α-Amylase and Its Combined Effect with Acarbose

open access: yesMolecules, 2011
The inhibitory activity on pancreatic α-amylase by cyanidin-3-rutinoside was examined in vitro. The IC50 value of cyanidin-3-rutinoside against pancreatic α-amylase was 24.4 ± 0.1 μM.

Seed factors involved in early seedling establishment of Festuca arundinacea (tall fescue) : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Plant Biology and Biotechnology at Massey University, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
New Zealand pastures are commonly based on vigorously growing Lolium (ryegrass) species. In many situations, however, it is often advantageous to combine the vigorous qualities of Lolium species with the versatility of other species such as Festuca ...

Karakteristik Hidrolisat Gelatin Tulang Itik Dengan Enzim Tripsin Sebagai Penghambat Alfa Amilase (α-Amylase Inhibitor)

open access: yesJurnal Ilmiah Inovasi, 2020
Gelatin is extracted from beef or pork. One of the potential sources of gelatin to be developed apart from land base mammalian is from poultry, namely duck bones. Gelatin extraction from duck bones can be carried out by the acid method. Several studies have reported that hydrolysis of gelatin using various types of enzymes will increase its bioactivity,

Bacillus subtilisα-amylase: the rate limiting step of secretion is growth phase-independent [PDF]

open access: yesFEMS Microbiology Letters, 1999
When Bacillus subtilis alpha-amylase was expressed under the control of sacR in a degU32(Hy) strain, the production of exoenzyme occurred during both the exponential and stationary phases of growth. In each phase, pulse-chase experiments showed that the rate-limiting step of the secretion process was the release of the processed form of the protein in ...

AI Guided Protein Design for Next‐Generation Autogenic Engineered Living Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Autogenic engineered living materials (ELMs) integrate biology and materials science to create self‐regenerating and self‐healing materials. This perspective highlights emerging strategies in protein engineering and AI‐guided de novo design to expand the capabilities of autogenic ELMs.
