μ Opioid Modulation of Sensorimotor Functional Connectivity in Autism: Insights From a Pharmacological Neuroimaging Investigation Using Tianeptine

open access: yesBiological Psychiatry Global Open Science
Background: Reproducible patterns of atypical functional connectivity (FC) of sensorimotor and higher-order networks have previously been identified in the autistic brain. However, the neurosignaling pathways underpinning these differences remain unclear.

Ingestion of amniotic fluid enhances the facilitative effect of VTA morphine on the onset of maternal behavior in virgin rats [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Previous research has shown that injection of morphine into the ventral tegmental area(VTA) facilitates the onset of maternal behavior in virgin female rats, and injection of the opioid antagonist naltrexone into the VTA disrupts the onset of maternal ...

Consensus on the Management of Anesthetic Agents During Digestive Motility Measurements and Proposal of a Standardized Protocol for Anesthesia (French Neuro Gastroenterology Group GFNG and Committee of Anesthetic French Experts)

open access: yesNeurogastroenterology &Motility, EarlyView.
Anesthesia can alter measurements during digestive endoscopies, yet no standardized protocol currently exists. Two expert groups—the French Neuro‐Gastroenterology Group (GFNG) and anesthesiologists—used the Delphi method to reach a consensus on which drugs have an influence (91 amendments), ultimately resulting in a proposed anesthesia protocol (28 ...

Effects of Electroacupuncture at ST36 on Visceral Pain and Inflammatory Markers in IBS Rats

open access: yesNeurogastroenterology &Motility, EarlyView.
Electroacupuncture (EA) at ST36 significantly reduced visceral pain and colonic inflammation in IBS model rats. EA increased pain thresholds, lowered AWR scores, and downregulated key inflammatory mediators (IL‐1β, IL‐6, TNF‐α, TRPV1, NF‐κB). These findings highlight ST36‐targeted EA as a promising therapeutic strategy for IBS visceral hypersensitivity

Redefining the Treatment Landscape in Gastroparesis: A Clinical Review of Gastric Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy Outcomes and Therapeutic Integration

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 6, Issue 1, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Gastroparesis is a chronic gastric motility disorder marked by delayed gastric emptying in the absence of mechanical obstruction. For patients with symptoms refractory to medical and dietary therapy, Gastric Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy (G‐POEM) has emerged as a minimally invasive, pylorus‐targeted intervention that directly addresses pyloric ...

GRK Mediates μ-Opioid Receptor Plasma Membrane Reorganization

open access: yesFrontiers in Molecular Neuroscience, 2019
Differential regulation of the μ-opioid receptor (MOP) has been linked to the development of opioid tolerance and dependence which both limit the clinical use of opioid analgesics.
