Characterisation of Volatile Compounds Associated With the Flavour of Flatbreads: Effect of Sorghum, Cassava and Whole or Dehulled Red and White Cowpea Flours

open access: yesLegume Science, Volume 7, Issue 4, December 2025.
ABSTRACT This study characterised the volatile compounds in flatbreads prepared from red non‐tannin sorghum flour, cassava starch, whole and dehulled red and white cowpea flours and composite flours (30% cowpea flour and varying combinations of cassava starch and sorghum flour).

Preparation of highly substituted tetrahydropyrans via a metal assisted dipolar cycloaddition reaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A range of highly substituted tetrahydropyrans have been prepared by reaction of a donor-acceptor cyclobutane, where the donor is a metal-alkyne complex, with an aldehyde under Lewis 10 acid ...

The Determination and Evaluation of Photoluminescence Quantum Yield of Colloidal Samples Using the Histogram‐Sampling Method

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 8, Issue 11, November 2025.
A protocol is summarized for the measurements of photoluminescence quantum yield in colloidal samples. We highlight the importance of the non‐standard statistics inherently present in quantum yield measurements and introduce a method for the analysis of these measurements serving as a reliability test.

Multistep Reactions Initiated by Amine‐Based Organometallic Methods

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 28, Issue 40, October 29, 2025.
The advent of C–H activation and other organometallic methodologies making use of transient directing groups or free amines themselves for the elaboration of amine substrates provides unique access to cascade‐type reactions that can generate significant molecular complexity in one pot. The pursuit of atom‐ and step‐economical pathways to access complex

Synthesis of Bridged and Non-Bridged N-Heterocycles, Dichloromethyl- and Formyl-Salicylates, Pyran-4-ones,Chromanes and Isochromanes based on Cyclocondensation Reactions of 1,3-Bis(silyloxy)-1,3-butadienes and Oxime Dianions [PDF]

open access: yes
Regioselective cyclization reactions of 1,3-bis(silyloxy)-1,3-butadienes provide an elegant approach for the synthesis of various complex carba- and heterocycles.

Phenazines Synthesis by Palladium‐Catalyzed Reductive Cyclization of 2‐Nitro‐N‐Phenylanilines Using Gaseous CO or Its Surrogates

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2025.
A practical palladium (Pd)‐catalyzed approach enables the synthesis of phenazines by reductive cyclization of 2‐nitro‐N‐phenylanilines using either carbon monoxide (CO) gas or phenyl formate as an in situ CO source. The method avoids harsh reagents and minimizes byproducts.

Tribenzoylarsine – A Benign Arsenic Precursor for InAs Nanocrystals

open access: yesSmall, Volume 21, Issue 42, October 23, 2025.
A limited choice of available organoarsenic precursors and the need to employ hazardous reagents in the synthesis are among the main reasons behind the slow‐paced development of InAs nanocrystals. Here, the multigram synthesis of tribenzoylarsine – a novel nonpyrophoric and nonvolatile precursor is reported, which reacts with indium oleate without ...

2‐(N‐Hexylcarbazole‐3′‐yl)‐4‐pyridinealdehyde: Cyanide Detection via Benzoin Condensation

open access: yesLuminescence, Volume 40, Issue 8, August 2025.
Probe A with carbazole‐pyridine‐aldehyde (D‐π‐A) was designed as a new ratiometric fluorescence sensor. Probe A showed highly selectivity and sensitivity towards CN− over the other competing anions, cations and neutral molecules. Surprisingly, the CN− sensing mechanism proceeded via benzoin condensation reaction.

Conformational studies on some nitrogen containing compounds. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1971
Some N.M.R. techniques used in conformational analysis, the principal factors peculiar to heterocyclic conformational analysis, and the background to conformational effects in alkyl substituted hydroxylamines are reviewed. The synthesis of N-carbethoxy-
