Chemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 1980 The reaction of 5-hydroxy-2-phenyltetrahydro-2H-1, 2-oxazin-3-one derivatives (2) with thionyl chloride in the presence of pyridine afforded a mixture of stereoisomers of bis (3-oxo-2-phenyltetrahydro-2H-1, 2-oxazine-5-yl) sulfite derivatives (3) in total yields of 75-83%.
