Poly‐1,3,4‐oxadiazoles. III. Alicyclic poly‐1,3,4‐oxadiazoles

Die Makromolekulare Chemie, 1966
AbstractSome alicyclic poly‐1,3,4‐oxadiazoles were prepared from cycloalkanedicarboxylic dihydrazides or from cycloalkanedicarboxylic acids and hydrazine sulfate by solution polycondensation in polyphosphoric acid. These polymers were characterized by high melting temperature.

A Derivative of 1,3,4-Oxadiazole

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1995
The molecules of title compound, 2-(4-chloroanilino)-5-(4-pyridyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole, C 13 H 9 ClN 4 O, are nearly planar with a maximum deviation of 0.094 (2) A from the plane. Intermolecular N(1)-H...N(4') hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains [N(1)...N(4')= 2.902 (3) A, N(1)-H...N(4')=178 (2)°].

Photophysics of Fluorene Copolymers Containing 1,3,4-Oxadiazole or 1,3,4-Oxadiazole and Carbazole Units

The Journal of Physical Chemistry C, 2010
The photophysical properties of a series of 9,9′-dioctylfluorene copolymers containing 1,3,4-oxadiazole units (PF1Ox, PF2Ox, PF3Ox, and PF4Ox) as well as a copolymer containing 9,9-dioctylfluorene, 1,3,4-oxadiazole, and N-octylcarbazole (PFOxCz) have been characterized by fluorescence and time-resolved absorption spectroscopy.

Trimethylsilyl-1,3,4-oxadiazoles—new useful synthons for the synthesis of various 2,5-disubstituted-1,3,4-oxadiazoles

Tetrahedron, 2008
Abstract The reactivity of 2-aryl-5-trimethylsilyl-1,3,4-oxadiazoles toward different types of electrophiles was investigated. These silanes readily react with chlorine, bromine, aliphatic acyl chlorides, 2-nitrobenzenesulfenyl chloride, and some reactive isocyanates affording the corresponding substituted 1,3,4-oxadiazoles.
