EFFECTS OF CO2 AT 1-MCP TREATED TOMATO ON THE VINE
Acta Horticulturae, 2003Elevated CO2 can inhibit ethylene effects. The mechanism of this inhibition is not exactly known. It was investigated whether competition with ethylene at the receptor binding-site is involved. The receptor binding-site was blocked by 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP). In this case CO2 can not have an effect via ethylene perception.

Acta Horticulturae, 2015This study was carried out to assess the effect of 1-methylciclopropene (1-MCP), an inhibitor of ethylene receptors, on physiological activity and quality traits of cactus pears. Fruit of the first crop were exposed to 400 ppb 1-MCP at 20 °C for 24 h and then stored at 20 °C and 60% RH for 2 weeks.

Biological Aspects of Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1 (MCP-1)
1991In this communication, we have asked if MCP-1 is the mediator of cellular infiltration in DCH, outlining the criteria in Table 3. Preliminary data suggest that PHA-stimulated lymphocytes secrete MCP-1, and that MCP-1 can be produced in response to antigen stimulation. MCP-1 attracts monocytes and basophils, but not neutrophils.
