Heterologous expression of cDNAs encoding barley (Hordeum vulgare) (1 → 3)-β-glucanase isoenzyme GV [PDF]
Two cDNAs have been isolated from libraries generated from poly(A)+RNA of young barley roots and leaves, using a cDNA encoding barley (1 → 3)-β-glucanase isoenzyme GII as a probe.

ABSTRACT Afforestation is widely advocated for boosting carbon (C) sequestration. However, the stability of soil C pools in economically and culturally significant mulberry plantations remains poorly understood. The soil organic C (SOC) contents in different aggregates and the oxidizable OC fractions were measured.

Induction of β-1, 3-Glucanase System from Streptomyces sp. W 19-1 [PDF]

THE EFFECT OF ANTIFUNGAL ACTIVITY OF β-1,3-GLUCANASE Trichoderma reesei AGAINST ROOT FUNGI OF Ganoderma philippii [PDF]
Purifi ed three isoform β-1,3-glucanases of 90 kDa β-1,3-glucanase-I, 75 kDa β-1,3-glucanase-II, and 64 kDa β-1,3-glucanase-III derived from Trichoderma reesei isolate T13were tested in vitro for its antifungal activity to the root fungi of Ganoderma ...

This article reports the first genome sequence of a UK Alternaria brassicae isolate. Dual RNA‐sequencing profiling of A. brassicae‐infected Brassica juncea leaves identified differentially expressed genes involved in pathogenicity and host response pathways in moderately resistant Sej‐2 (2) and moderately susceptible Pusa Jaikisan cultivars.

Conserved Cys residue influences catalytic properties of potato endo-(1→3)-β-glucanase GLUB20-2 [PDF]
The synthesis and degradation of (1→3)-β-glycosidic bonds between glucose moieties are essential metabolic processes in plant cell architecture and function. We have found that a unique, conserved cysteine residue, positioned outside the catalytic centre

β-glucan content and β-glucanase activity of winter and spring malting barley cultivars [PDF]
β-Glucan content and β-glucanase activity of winter and spring barley cultivars grown under different environments were evaluated. There were significant differences in both β-glucan content and β-glucanase activity between analysed barleys.
