Modulating the Swelling Behavior of Polymer Brushes via Interfacial Chemistry

Modulating substrate surface chemistry of surface‐grafted polymer brushes via variation of the chemical composition of spacers that anchor initiators for surface‐initiated atom transfer polymerizations allows to tune swelling of these thin polymer films.

High‐Power Rapid Laser‐Induced Synthesis of Multi‐functional Cobalt Metal‐Organic Framework With an Unprecedented Synthesis Efficiency

Laser‐assisted synthesis enables rapid (within 1 h) and high‐yield (≥90%) production of Co‐MOFs with mesoporous structures, tunable magnetic and optical properties, and efficient adsorption of N2, CH4, and CO2 for low‐energy gas separation. DFT calculations elucidate the electronic structure and adsorption behavior.

A series of novel compounds like 3[(phenyl substituted)-5-methyl-1(Benzosulphonylamine)]-1,3,4-triazole-2-ones II(a-f) were synthesized by treating 4-amino-1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-oxo-1,2,4-triazoles with benzene sulphonyl chloride using pyridine as solvent.

Carboranyl‐Curcuminoids for the Neutron Capture‐Based Treatment of Amyloid Aggregates in Alzheimer's Disease

The 10B‐enriched monocarbonyl analog of curcumin (BMAC) 10B‐9 enables site‐specific Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) on amyloid‐β (Aβ) fibrils. Neutron irradiation induces histidine oxidation and fibril destabilization, as revealed by 1H‐NMR and FESEM analyses.

Valency‐Controlled Multiphotochromism: Gated Switching and Photoswitchable Lewis Superacidity at Silicon

Multiphotochromic switching is controlled by silicon valency in a diarylethene‐based molecular architecture. Lewis base coordination gates electronic communication between the photochromic units, thereby enabling selective access to distinct switching states.

Several fluoro phenyl triazoles were synthesized using click chemistry between fluoro phenyl azides and phenyl acetylene. Under ultrasound irradiation, this synthetic procedure was performed with Cu (I) in the presence of 1,10-phenanthroline.
