Synthesis of Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) has been discussed in this work. Two main approaches have been presented for the second-order ADRC: Linear ADRC and nonlinear ADRC. A design procedure for the three main components of ADRC: controller, estimator, and disturbance rejection scheme has been presented in each approach.
