An Active Disturbance Rejection Control solution for hysteresis compensation
2008 American Control Conference, 2008An Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) is proposed herein whereby hysteresis with unknown characteristics is treated as disturbance and rejected. In place of the prevailing model inversion method, which requires detailed mathematical model of the hysteresis, the proposed active disturbance rejection approach offers an appealing alternative to ...

Active disturbance rejection control for human postural sway
Proceedings of the 2011 American Control Conference, 2011A fundamental and open issue pertaining to human postural sway is how to deal with the uncertain, nonlinear and time-varying nature of human motor dynamics. To address the inherent limitations of the current methods, such as PID and model-based designs, a novel active disturbance rejection concept is introduced. In this new framework, the uncertainties,

From PID to Active Disturbance Rejection Control
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2009Active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) can be summarized as follows: it inherits from proportional-integral-derivative (PID) the quality that makes it such a success: the error driven, rather than model-based, control law; it takes from modern control theory its best offering: the state observer; it embraces the power of nonlinear feedback and ...

Learning Objects and Experiments for Active Disturbance Rejection Control
2019 5th Experiment International Conference (exp.at'19), 2019The paper introduces examples of learning objects dealing with introductory design of controllers with integral action based on disturbance observer. This state-space based approach is presented in forms denoted as conventional state-observer based reconstruction and compensation, or newer Active Disturbance Rejection Control.

Active disturbance rejection control for cargo ship steering
2015 American Control Conference (ACC), 2015The recent research is trending to develop robust solutions for controlling nonlinear systems with uncertain dynamics. This paper employs a novel approach of active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) based on extended state observer (ESO) to solve the nonlinear control problem with uncertain dynamics.

On the linear active disturbance rejection control of the Furuta pendulum
2014 American Control Conference, 2014This article studies, an Active Disturbance Rejection Control scheme, using a Generalized PI disturbance observer based control applied to the stabilization problem of the Furuta pendulum. The control scheme assumes a limited knowledge of the system and uses a simplified model of the Furuta pendulum modeled as a disturbed chain of two integrators.

Active Disturbance Rejection Control for Server Thermal Management
2018 5th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT), 2018In recent year, improving server cooling efficiency has become an essential requirement in data centers. However, because the thermal dynamics of the server system has characteristics such as nonlinearity, significant inter-loop coupling, and continuously fast changing/unknown workload disturbances, this poses huge challenges to control engineers and ...

Modeling and simulation of Active-Disturbance-Rejection Controller with Simulink
2010 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics, 2010The way of modeling and simulation for Active-Disturbance-Rejection-Controller (ADRC) is discussed by masking subsystem and building user custom library in Matlab/Simulink, after studying the basic principle and structure of ADRC. In this way, the programming workload of researching ADRC can be reduced, and the complex blocks group in Simulink can ...

Active Disturbance Rejection Control of a Magnetic Suspension System
Asian Journal of Control, 2014AbstractThis paper proposes a novel output feedback control scheme for robust stabilization and tracking tasks in a magnetic suspension system. Active disturbance rejection control, differential flatness and on‐line asymptotic disturbance estimation are properly used for the proposed control synthesis.

Obstacle avoidance and active disturbance rejection control for a quadrotor
Neurocomputing, 2016In this paper, an active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) system is developed for autonomous quadrotor with obstacle avoidance. In this control system, the controller based on ADRC technique is the main controller. The robust trajectory tracking problem of the quadrotor is solved based on the attitude decoupling control.
