In PWS‐ASPCs, FOSL1 drives the expression of SPSB1. SPSB1, as part of the ESC complex, further binds to HDAC1 and promotes K29‐linked and K48‐linked polyubiquitination of HDAC1. These modifications facilitate the degradation of HDAC1 through the ALP and UPS pathways, respectively.

Adipocytes Sequester and Metabolize the Chemotherapeutic Daunorubicin
Obesity is associated with poorer outcome for many cancers. Previously, we observed that adipocytes protect acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) cells from the anthracycline, daunorubicin.

This study reveals that NOTCH2NLC transcript variant 2 generates PolyGN2C‐iso2, an aggregating protein present within intranuclear inclusions of NIID patient tissues. A novel mouse model expressing PolyGN2C‐iso2 recapitulates white matter abnormalities and cognitive deficits, mechanistically linked to mitochondrial dysfunction. These findings support a

Is oxidative stress of adipocytes a cause or a consequence of the metabolic syndrome?
Metabolic syndrome is accompanied by oxidative stress in animals and humans. The main source of ROS in experimental metabolic syndrome is NADPH oxidase and possibly adipocyte mitochondria.

Current Challenges of Transcription Compartmentalization Research
Transcription factors, coactivators, and RNA polymerase II assemble into transcription compartments ranging from small, defined complexes to liquid‐like condensates. This review unifies these seemingly competing descriptions along a single continuum and asks what these compartments have been shown to do, and what they have not, revealing that the most ...

ScopeAdipocyte-derived extracellular vesicle (EV) lipid cargo reflects the obese metabolic state. Nevertheless, it is currently unknown whether the adipocyte-derived EV lipid profile is influenced by saturated fatty acid overload. This study investigated

The relative abundance of thermogenic beige adipocytes and lipid-storing white adipocytes in adipose tissue underlie its metabolic activity. The roles of adipocyte progenitor cells, which express PDGFRα or PDGFRβ, in adipose tissue function have remained

A previously unrecognized IRE1‐XBP1s‐Slc6a4 signaling axis links endoplasmic reticulum stress to serotonin metabolism, autophagy, and inflammatory osteoclastogenesis. By promoting intracellular serotonin uptake and reducing endogenous 3‐methyladenine accumulation, this pathway accelerates inflammatory bone destruction and provides a promising ...
