Time‐Restricted Eating Promotes Weight Loss and Favorable Changes in Adipose in Obesity: The TREAD Randomized Control Trial

open access: yesObesity, Volume 34, Issue 7, Page 1395-1408, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective Examine time‐restricted eating (TRE) as a strategy to promote weight loss and cardiometabolic health in adults with obesity. Methods TRE in obesity and ADipose Tissue (TREAD) was a single‐center 12‐week RCT, involving 1:1 randomization to 10‐h TRE versus standard of care (SOC) in adults with obesity (BMI 30–50 kg/m2) without diabetes

Unraveling the spatial landscape of dystrophinopathies: a transcriptomic approach to Becker and Duchenne muscular dystrophies

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology, Volume 269, Issue 3, Page 363-380, July 2026.
Abstract Dystrophinopathies are caused by pathogenic variants in the DMD gene, resulting in partial (Becker) or complete loss (Duchenne) of dystrophin. Becker (BMD) and Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) are characterized by progressive muscle wasting, fatty replacement, fibrosis, and loss of function.

Clonal Analyses Reveal the Impact of Hematopoietic Stem and Progenitor Cell Aging on T Cell Development

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 7, July 2026.
This study explored whether the decline in thymic output with age is due to intrinsic defects in aged hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells. With age, the proportion of lymphoid‐biased (Ly‐)HSCs decreased in the bone marrow and early thymic progenitor (ETP) cell number declined in the thymus.

Bidirectional Relationship and Shared Mechanisms Between Sarcopenia and Osteoporosis: An Observational Study Integrating Genomic, Proteomic, and Metabolomic Data

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 7, July 2026.
This study investigated the bidirectional relationship and shared mechanisms between sarcopenia and osteoporosis using data from the UK Biobank. Our findings indicated that the two conditions may act as reciprocal risk factors, with multiple potential biomarkers mediating the muscle‐bone relationship and suggested possible shared signals between the ...

Molecular Basis and Clinical Spectrum of WNT10A‐Related Oligodontia

open access: yesClinical Genetics, Volume 110, Issue 1, Page 3-14, July 2026.
Cellular Mechanism behind WNT10A phenotypes. ABSTRACT WNT10A mutations, a major genetic determinant of dental agenesis and ectodermal dysplasia, exert profound effects on craniofacial development. Although classified as rare disorders, these mutations account for more than half of oligodontia cases, reflecting their critical role.
