The conversion of preadipocytes to adipocytes (adipogenesis) is a potential target to treat or prevent obesity. Selenate, an inorganic form of selenium, elicits diverse health benefits, mainly through its incorporation into selenoproteins. The individual

Self‐Assembling Hybrid Hydrogel Reprograms the Stromal Vascular Fraction to Treat Osteoarthritis
This study presents a bioinspired injectable hydrogel that enhances the therapeutic potential of stem cell‐rich stromal vascular fraction for treating osteoarthritis. By reprogramming cell behavior through epigenetic modulation, the hydrogel promotes cartilage regeneration and reduces joint damage in a rat model, offering a promising new approach for ...

Adhesion‐Related Macrophages Regulate Metabolic Homeostasis Through CAV‐1 Dependency
Adipose tissue harbors a distinct macrophage subpopulation, termed adhesion‐related macrophages (ARMs), which stably adhere to adipocytes. In obesity, ARMs represent the major expanding macrophage subset. They acquire material from adipocytes and rely on Caveolin‐1 for sustained lipid handling.

TAZ enhances the activity of the AKT signaling pathway to promote adipogenesis of gADSCs
Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSCs) possess the capacity for multidirectional differentiation, including differentiation into adipocytes. However, the molecular mechanisms that control adipogenesis are not yet fully understood.Transcriptional ...

Producing MSCs on rigid culture substrates induces a scar‐making phenotype, jeapordizing therapeutic success. ‘Tissue‐soft’ surfaces prevent MSC fibrogenesis and preserve regenerative traits. An epigenetic network, driven by HOXA11 and SALL1, maintains ‘soft memory’ by keeping chromatin open in relaxed MSCs, promoting anti‐fibrotic programs.

Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,

ROCK inhibitors enhance the production of large lipid-enriched 3D organoids of 3T3-L1 cells
Since the recent discovery of prostaglandin-associated peri-orbitopathy, a great deal of interest has developed concerning the side effects of anti-glaucoma medications toward periocular fatty tissue, especially their adipogenesis.

Long noncoding RNAs regulate adipogenesis [PDF]
The prevalence of obesity has led to a surge of interest in understanding the detailed mechanisms underlying adipocyte development. Many protein-coding genes, mRNAs, and microRNAs have been implicated in adipocyte development, but the global expression patterns and functional contributions of long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) during adipogenesis have not ...
