Erythropoietin‐Stimulated Macrophage‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles in Chitosan Hydrogel Rescue BMSCs Fate by Targeting EGFR to Alleviate Inflammatory Bone Loss in Periodontitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A therapeutic strategy is proposed for periodontitis using extracellular vesicles derived from EPO‐stimulated macrophages (EPO‐EVs). This schema demonstrates how EPO‐EVs enhance the osteogenic activity of mBMSCs in an inflammatory environment by inhibiting EGFR.

Explainable Deep Multilevel Attention Learning for Predicting Protein Carbonylation Sites

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Selective carbonylation sites (SCANS) are conceptualized, designed, evaluated, and released. SCANS captures segment‐level, protein‐level, and residue embeddings features. It utilizes elaborate loss function to penalize cross‐predictions at the residue level.

Activation of Kir4.1 Channels by 2‐D08 Promotes Myelin Repair in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiple sclerosis causes myelin loss and neurological dysfunction. This study shows that 2‐D08, a small molecule targeting Kir4.1 channels, promotes OPCs differentiation via FYN tyrosine kinase phosphorylation and the FYN/MYRF pathway. It significantly improves myelin repair and motor deficits in EAE mice and marmosets, highlighting its potential as a

Radiation Exposure Induced Blood–Brain Barrier Injury via Mitochondria‐Mediated Sterile Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work describes a blood–brain barrier (BBB) microphysiological system (MPS) to explore the responses of BBB to radiation exposure. Following radiation exposure, obvious BBB comprise and brain endothelial injuries are detected. Mechanism study shows radiation induced significant sterile inflammation via mitochondrial dysfunction and cGAS‐STING ...
